Intrepid Mortal Kombat fanatics over at Xbox360Achievements have revealed that some more iconic characters from previous Mortal Kombat games are due to pop up as fighters once more. It looks like that is far from the end of the character roster for Mortal Kombat X, however. Although Mokap will not be a secret comedy character in this iteration, there is still a strong line-up of confirmed fighters. The developer has revealed that players will be able to fight as horror icon Jason Vorhees, with the Friday the 13 th killer set to release as DLC. There have even been some surprise character announcements along the way. Fans of the franchise will be able to play as a number of returning combatants, including the likes of Mileena, Johnny Cage and Sonja Blade.
The fighter is set to launch on April 14 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC and this summer for Xbox 360 and PS3 after a recent delay. Mortal Kombat X is nearly upon us, with NetherRealm Studios’ hyper-violent beat ‘em up just weeks away from release.
