Planetary drop pods are equipped with safety features that help with landing and enough energy inside the Battery to find the right place to start with the help of the Atmospheric and Hydrogen thrusters, and Parachute Hatch. Starting location can be selected in the spawn menu upon death or when starting up the world first time. All drop pods start from higher off the ground. All drop pods come with their Survival kits. Drop pods are small grid respawn vessels that act as starting ships for players to have all basic requirements to start survival on large planetary objects.
